Reaktor is a graphical modular software music studio developed by Native Instruments (NI). free instruments can be downloaded from the growing User Library. If you’re using Windows, have a look in C:\Users\Public\Documents. You should find a Native Instruments folder in there somewhere that contains. Click the ‘Install’ button and choose your desired location. Once the download is complete, your product will appear under the ‘Installed’ tab.

Where does it want them to be? Reaktor 6 isn’t finding them. Vielen Danke. Click to read more Reaktor instruments not ensembles? Can you not just drag the instruments to the Reaktor GUI? Thread starter. Yes, Ensembles. And I’m using the plug-in. The goal is to audition a bunch of synth programs I just downloaded.

It seems like that shouldn’t be any different from Kontakt libraries, but evidently it’s more harderer. On Mac default location is, documents-native instruments-reaktor5 6? Hope that does the trick. You just drop them onto Reaktor’s GUI, they will load. Can put them anywhere you want, then in Reaktor, usingg the Files browser you can add the path where you put your. Well no, Reaktor does have User Library folder where everything is ensembles, presets, snapshots, etc.

Also very easy to find this stuff directly from Reaktor then: This is really not complicated. EvilDragon : Yes, i know there is a user library in theory there are even several Reaktor user libraries, depending on the version. However, it doesn’t has that name on a Mac. There is a Reaktor folder in Documents where NI puts some files , which maybe is supposed to be the “user” library.

And you can navigate to that location. Of course, if you forget that that specific location is supposed to be the “user library”, you’ll first have to google. A short search will tell you that indeed: the NI folder in documents obviously holds “user libs”. So, after that short break you can navigate Reaktor to that place and it will show that place.

Of course, next time you open it, you have to restart again the search. With programs of Reaktor synths it’s even harder. If you look in your Reaktor preferences, you can set the path to your User Library under the ‘Directories’ tab. So basically you can put these files anywhere you like, but you should set the path here to get the greatest benefit. Dillon is correct though, you shouldn’t have these files within your main Reaktor installation as this may be overwritten by updates.

Moujik , Dec 30, Like x 1. Whats the difference between Player user and Library drop down sections? I assume the UL Downloads go in the latter. Not sure what to point the first one at, however. It makes not much of a difference, but I usually store everything in the library folder and only ensembles that are used on there own which I don’t want to import into other ensembles within the player-folder.

Much more important is the usage of the searchbox-functionality. You should create two sub-folders within your library-directory: ‘primary’ and ‘core’.

Everything that is placed within these two sub-directories will be shown in the searchbox depending on the level where you are, i. Subdirectories within these sub-directories are possible.

Seoman , Dec 30, Informative x 3. I suppose instruments and ensembles would go in the Primary folder. Core is a deeper programming level, so only certain parts would go in there. Currently I just use a custom folder for ensembles and instruments, and I find them with the “Favorites” feature, which is on the Files tab. If so, how do I get started contributing and using? Is there a manual somewhere? Jim Homme , Feb 23, Messages: 3, Like x 1 Informative x 1. Messages: 7,
