Which is unreasonably confusing when they already have VMP enabled. I’m having the same issue. Same problem: After restart my computer for an update, i can not start my wsl2 Ubuntu with same error message. I figured out my issue.
In order to fix, i had to uninstall and disable and re-enable WSL features. I have been running wsl2 with no issues and all of a sudden this is now occurring. I was just glad to see that by enabling the following modules in Turn Windows features on or off , followed by a restart , I was able to convert wsl from v1 to v2 via wsl –set-version Ubuntu 2 :.
After the update to WSL2 and some reboots later, I had the same issue. Disabling and re-enabling WSL fixed the problem for me. Thank you very much! I have the same situation. Hyper-V off due to VMware but after running this command, rebooting and running again wsl –set-version Ubuntu I solved this issue in simpler way.
Booted Windows. Once properly booted, shutdown and restart in BIOS setup. It works in WSL 2. I had to reinstall Ubuntu though, which was still showing WSL 1 version. But because it was fresh install, I did not have to worry about legacy baggage. I solved my issue the same way that TradianIndian solved his. Disable Virtualization in the bios, rebooted to windows, enabled virtualization and now WSL works for me.
Similar to TradingIndian and michaeldrawe , my issue was that virtualization was disabled on my machine. You can check whether virtualization is enabled or not by opening the “Turn Windows features on or off” menu — if virtualization is disabled, the check box next to “Virtual Machine Platform” will be grayed out, and a pop-up will confirm that virtualization is not enabled. Once my machine rebooted, I was able to check the box for “Virtual Machine Platform,” then rebooted again.
The simulator must mess with the virtualization settings. Running the above commands fixed it. My wsl2 stopped working right now on my Windows 11, out of nowhere!!!. And not only WSL2 but also Android’s emulator. Says that I need to turn on virtual machine and hipervisor resources on, but they are already on!!!
Tried everything I can think of, but the app won’t install on my Windows 10 desktop. I have paid for the 4 Ufile for Windows , received the activation code, but haven’t heard from Ufile when the file is ready for download. I sent them an email but all I got was the request.
They used to be very responsive to people’s queries but not this time, just wondering if the company is in financial problems. I finally managed to get the install to work. Although my standard Windows 10 account has administrator privileges, the install did not work. Looks like the install program is flawed if it won’t install using a standard account.
After various workarounds, I did manage to get the Ufile Not sure exactly why it downloaded onto the tablet this time, as it had not done so in prior attempts.
How did I then download to my Desktop?? I went back to my tablet and Dropboxed the now opened Ufile file folder to my Desktop, opened the Ufile To test it, I downloaded my Tax file info into Ufile, and filled in some data, which it accepted. I also tried to update the Ufile program, but the Ufile updater will not recognise the Ufile file on my system, so it will not update not that there was an update anyway.
Not being a computer whiz, I relocated the Ufile program to my Program Files x86 where it shows up if I go into Program Files x86 , but there is still no recognition in my system e.
So I can run Ufile on the Desktop, it is not recognized as installed in my Windows programming, and I surmise I may have further problems down the line if it is not recognized.
Next step, dump everything, try reinstalling from opened Ufile folder again. Presently responding to 3 generic, “try these unrelated links”, non-answer Ufile Support responses, all for the same subject, as I’ve sent 3 similar enquires over a month as they do not acknowledge or respond in a real world time frame okay, my version of real world.
I too have paid for and downloaded the UFile program. Like most others, the exe file will not install on my Win 10 machine. I have sent numerous emails and had numerous phone conversations, even suggesting they refund my money if they can’t fix it, and all I get is automated replies telling me to do what I have already done.
This company has no right to be in business if this is the best they can do. Hi Graeme and all. I had no issues with downloading and installing the Windows version. I am not a tech person at Ufile but maybe I could help, maybe not. After the download was finished did you direct the install to be within the “Program Files x86 ” folder? Also is your firewall set to allow the program to be installed? It is always best to do the install as an Administrator.
I use Google Chrome and the install was seamless. Sometimes there is a window popup that appears that requires consent based on various browsers. It appears that the majority of users have no issues so it may be related to settings that are specific to individual users systems.
I wrote earlier about the installation problem and am now happy to say I solved it. It seems all the protective software on my computer was either blocking part of the exe file coming in or else not recognizing it when I tried to run it from my downloads folder. So here’s what I did:. Disabled all the protection in McAfee.
Downloaded once again the pgm from UFile the. Ran the. Reinstalled System Mechanic 7. Turned back ON the protective measures in McAfee 8. Poured myself a drink to celebrate. Good afternoon everyone.
With the latest version of Windows 10, if you are logged onto Windows with your regular account even though you may have administrator privileges , something is blocking the program from installing. To install it you need to log-on as the built-in Windows 10 administrator.
When you initially set-up Windows 10 on your computer, the administrator account is disabled, so you don’t see it as a choice on the log-in screen. Feb download autocad windows 10, ArcticWolf Trusted Helper. My main concern is the potential problems this may cause other users installing this specific image TBH.

Just happen to install the Windows 10 Pro 20H2 avaiable at his forum, but now I can not remove it from Windows Insider Program, as I don’t have the account to do so.
