Franconia Notch State Park is a popular 3-season destination in the White Mountains, offering various recreational opportunities and plenty of beautiful scenery to enjoy. The Flume Gorge is open from May \u2014 November and features soaring granite rise from between feet tall and sometimes as narrow as 12 \u2014 20 feet in width.<\/p>\n

At the top of the gorge is Avalanche Falls, a foot waterfall. Artists Bluff Trail is relatively short, at just 1. This tramway has the distinction of being the first passenger aerial tramway in North America.<\/p>\n

From the top, enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. For even more adventure, head to The Basin , a large pothole in the Pemigewasset River that was formed around 25, years ago by a glacier. Franconia Notch State Park is \u043d\u0430\u0436\u043c\u0438\u0442\u0435 \u0434\u043b\u044f \u0434\u0435\u0442\u0430\u043b\u0435\u0439<\/a> public recreation area and nature preserve that straddles eight miles 13 km of Interstate franconia notch state park as it passes through Franconia Notcha mountain pass between the Kinsman Range and Franconia Range in the White Mountains of northern New HampshireUnited States.<\/p>\n

The northern part of the park, including Cannon Mountain and Echo and Profile lakes, is in the town of Franconiaand the southern part, including Lonesome Lake and the Flume, is in Lincoln. Attractions in the state park include the Flume Gorge [4] and visitor center, [5] the Old Man of the Mountain historical site, [6] fishing in Echo Lake and Profile Lakeand miles of hiking, franconia notch state park and ski trails.<\/p>\n

The park is home to Cannon Mountaina state-owned ski resort started in the s. Huts offer meals and lodging reservations are recommended.
