This view is of Pleasant Street from where I came. Well, all I could see on the other side was another slate quarry!! But with equipment and a building on the pile of slate.<\/p>\n

Notice the entrance for vehicles on the other side of the quarry. Monson slate is still being processed, but in small amounts, I believe.
