Four days ago I started the notebook, got the blue screen which turned into the password prompt, then blue again for a few moments, then the screen turned yellow. It stays yellow with a message which says “Please wait” and the little circle of rotating dots.<\/p>\n

The machine seems to get stuck here. I have tried rebooting and restarting the machine, but to no avail. I even left it up “waiting” to see how long this might take, but after 24 hours plus shut it down again. Virus scan is automatic, up to date, and there were no issues as far as I know. The machine has not been damaged in any way. This is my wife’s notebook and needless to say she is not happy. This thread is locked. In order to assist you I need to know which operating system you are using. To see which version of Windows you are using click here: Which Windows operating system am I running? It sounds to me like the issue is the result of the graphics card loading drivers slowly or error’s while loading in some way.<\/p>\n

Please try to boot into safe mode and tell me if you experience the same problem. If the issue does not occur in safe mode reinstall the drivers for your graphics card s. If the issue persists in safe mode it’s most likely hardware related.<\/p>\n
