Problem: The camera video feed froze after split second, repetitively after each time opening the video feed. Consequence: I could not use camera feed with Microsoft Teams nor with Lenovo Vantage for verification of device settings. Status: Resolved: Camera driver rollback to the previous driver version using Windows Device manager resolved the problem. Rollback resolution to previous driver using Win10 Device manager: Driver version United States of America.<\/p>\n

Integrated camera doesn’t work on my T either, have already tried the latest drivers and all the fixes out there. Lenovo is totally silent on this widespread issue.<\/p>\n

Finally rolled back to the previous driver This should be remedied as a critical patch given how many families are relying on conferencing for work and school right now. I’m going to save off a copy of the old driver somewhere should this happen again and the rollback not readily available. Same issue here for my Ts. The driver rollback button in the device manager is greyed out, so I can’t do that.<\/p>\n

Where do I find the older driver and what is the proper procedure for installing? Glad I found this thread! My camera wasn’t working for my Zoom meetings and I thought the problem was with Zoom. Reinstalled Zoom with no success and then kept googling and searching about lenovo, cameras, drivers, etc. I also found this link, which worked for me on a Tp.<\/p>\n

A school had the same problem with their ThinkPads. Camera not working on Lenovo IdeaPad 3 and looked on the forums after looking at a couple of YouTube videos which didn’t work. So i tried the suggested rollback a and that worked!! Thank you!! So i went to device manager, clicked on expand on the camera, selected integrated camera, right click and selected properties, clicked on Driver tab and selected rollback, it has rolled back to Driver Version: View All.<\/p>\n

This happened last year, after a Windows update and after hours of struggling, I was able to fix it with a Windows update. Noticed the same problem last week. Camera goes on can see the light next to the camera , but apps camera, teams, zoom shows no image. I uninstalled the camera and rebooted the laptop Lenovo. I updated the driver latest driver installed, but downloaded and re-installed the driver. This did not solve the problem. Searched for and installed Windows Update – solved problem.<\/p>\n

Until yesterday – again no camera. Repeated previous process, but there is no Windows Update. This is no longer funny. The only solutions I could find on Google, is the steps I took above. Just had a MicroSoft tech reset my Windows to an earlier version.<\/p>\n

Initially that didn’t solve the issue however something in our conversation clicked and I manually turned the toggle above my camera off and then on again. I have tried this multiple times and it seems to have solved the issue.<\/p>\n

The tech had mentioned that it is a safely feature built into the camera and, for some reason, now it appears that I have to turn the camera off manually after I get the error message and then turn it back on. Sometimes I have to reposition the lens so that it can see me but it seems to solve the issue.<\/p>\n

Annoying to have to do that but at least I now have the camera back. Hope this helps. Sorry to have to say that this has proven to be a temp solution. Unfortunately the problem persists. Camera is basically still non-operational. Really thought this had solved the issue. I have a similar problem with my t laptops. These machines are no longer supported by Lenovo. The integrated camera ‘dissappeared’ from the device manager on both after a recent update of Windows On the first, I restored the driver from Lenovo site.<\/p>\n

I did not test Skype for Business. I noticed that the windows security permissions tab separates the Chrome based apps in a separate area after the Microsoft apps. The message I get from skype and the Camera app is that the camera does not exist! Hence, not a security issue per se. I verified that Avast!<\/p>\n

After last week’s updates to Windows 10, the 2nd laptop is now functioning perfectly, in fact the integrated camera reappeared by itself in the device manager.<\/p>\n

But the 1st laptop persists with the problem that built in Microsoft apps do not see the Camera while the Chrome apps do. I understand the hardware is ‘obsolete’. I was about to replace both machines last year, but after the upgrade to windows 10 both functioned so exceptionally well that I kept them. After getting increasingly frustrated changing drivers, redoing installs etc. I finally decided to open up the laptop and re-seat the integrated camera connectors on the camera PCB and mother board.<\/p>\n

When this was done, the easy camera started to work again and has continued to work with no seeming problems. So, in the end it was a hardware issue and not a software issue. Yep I’ve got an old Lenevo G50 Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.<\/p>\n

I allowed Norton to give access to everything that asks to access my camera except Chrome Windows security settings allow zoom, teams and camera to access the camera. I closed Teams while being on Zoom. Zoom closes when done with meeting. This does not seem to be a Lenovo problem but a Windows issue. Please help. Hello Lorraine, I have been experiencing the same issue since last week. Gordon Antonello. I have the exact same problem with the EasyCamera on my Ideapad Tried everything found on the web. Nothing makes sense. The white LED next to the camera is on but the image is black. This is the same with the camera app, Zoom, Skype, etc. There must be someone in the Microsoft community that knows what the problem is.<\/p>\n

Does anyone know what is going on? Is this an error that can be fixed, or is this an area of instability in the operating system? I have some luck with it every once in a while where it will come on but it will go out just as quickly. I have thought about opening up the back of the computer but not really sure about that.<\/p>\n

I will have to watch some video’s on how to do it before I attempt that. The computer’s an all in one so, if I botch it up, then I’m really in trouble. Luckily I have another option on my Apple so the desktop just isn’t used for that.<\/p>\n
